Laptop 16 with ThinkPad Keyboard & TrackPoint

A modification by Martin Roth (Martin_L_Roth) to install a ThinkPad Compact USB Keyboard with TrackPoint into the Framework Laptop 16¹.

Overview

The mod uses a 3D-printed PLA assembly on a G-10 sheet to mount the ThinkPad keyboard. Onshape CAD files are available for the front spacer, rear spacer, and screen shim¹. Screen shims prevent damage to the display when closing the lid. A right-angle micro-USB adapter with the casing removed is required for the internal connection¹.

Status

Module retention is still in progress; the keyboard is not yet fully secured within the laptop chassis¹.
