AOOSTAR AG02 USB4 eGPU Enclosure
The AOOSTAR AG02 is an affordable USB4 eGPU enclosure (ASMedia controller) that accepts a desktop graphics card and connects over a USB4/TB4 link. It is confirmed working with Framework 13 (AMD Ryzen AI 300 / HX 370) and Framework 16 setups, though community reports note it can be "iffy" with certain cable and card combinations123.

:::warning[Cable / card sensitivity — and a Linux lspci red herring
The AG02 is known to be picky with cables and cards (including its own included USB cable) — experiment with a certified active TB4/USB4 cable if you see instability. On Linux, the upstream PCIe root port advertises "Gen1 x1" in lspci for USB4-tunneled devices, but this is misleading by spec — actual throughput is governed by the USB4 fabric and is far higher; benchmark rather than trusting lspci link status2.
:::
A Framework 16 user who moved off the AG02 to the Minisforum DEG1 (OCuLink) reported the DEG1 was "more stable" and shipped with a longer, more compatible cable — OCuLink also removes the USB4 protocol overhead entirely on the FW163.
