Framework Desktop (AMD Ryzen AI Max, 2025)

The Framework Desktop is a Mini-ITX workstation announced at the 2nd Gen event in February 2025. It features an AMD Strix Halo APU and is designed to be modular, containing two front-side expansion card slots as seen in Framework's laptop models. The front panel has slots for 21 interchangeable tiles for user customization. Pre-orders opened February 25, 2025 with shipping planned for Q3 2025. Memory is soldered LPDDR5x (non-upgradeable).

Framework Laptop 12 (13th Gen Intel, 2025)

The Framework Laptop 12 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop announced at the 2nd Gen event in February 2025. It is positioned as a smaller, lower-cost model compared to the Framework Laptop 13 and 16. It features a 12.2-inch WUXGA touchscreen with tablet mode, and is compatible with MPP 2.0 and USI 2.0 stylus types. Fulfillment began in June 2025 with 13th Gen Intel Core processors.

Framework Laptop 13 (11th Gen Intel, 2021)

The original Framework Laptop, launched in July 2021. It was Framework's first product, shipping with 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The laptop received a 10 out of 10 in iFixit's repairability score. It was available as a fully assembled laptop or as a DIY Edition with RAM, storage, OS, and WiFi module uninstalled.

Framework Laptop 13 (12th Gen Intel, 2022)

Launched in May 2022, the 12th Gen Intel update brought Alder Lake processors with a hybrid architecture (P-cores + E-cores). It shipped with an upgraded back panel, and a 12th Gen Upgrade Kit was offered to allow 11th Gen users to upgrade their laptops. Pre-ordering for Australia opened in September 2022.

Framework Laptop 13 (13th Gen Intel, 2023)

Announced in March 2023 at the Framework Next Level event alongside the Framework Laptop 16. This model brought Raptor Lake processors and adopted the "Framework Laptop 13" designation to distinguish it from the new Laptop 16. Also introduced were a higher capacity 61 Wh battery, a matte display option, and a Cooler Master case to house Framework motherboards. Battery life saw a significant 40% uplift in PCMark's battery test over prior Intel designs, with an additional 13% improvement when upgrading to the 61 Wh battery.

Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040, 2023)

Announced in March 2023 alongside the 13th Gen Intel model, the AMD Ryzen 7040 variant was Framework's first AMD-powered laptop. Initial shipments were delayed due to electrical and firmware issues. The AMD variant showed additional battery life, better performance, less heat, and lower fan noise when idle compared to Intel models, leading some to suggest it rendered Intel models obsolete. It features RDNA 3 integrated graphics.

Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen AI 300, 2025)

Announced in February 2025, this is the latest Framework Laptop 13 model featuring AMD's Zen 5-based Ryzen AI 300 series processors with RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics. It supports up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory and introduces a new 2.8K 120 Hz IPS display option. The design retains Framework's emphasis on modularity, with most parts compatible with earlier releases. DIY edition starts at $899, pre-built at $1,099.

Framework Laptop 13 (Intel Core Ultra Series 1, 2024)

Announced in May 2024, this model features Intel's Meteor Lake processors with integrated Intel Arc graphics, bringing a major graphics performance uplift over previous Intel models. It also introduced DDR5 memory support and a new 61 Wh battery as standard.

Framework Laptop 13 Chromebook Edition (2022)

Launched in September 2022 in partnership with Google, the Chromebook Edition is based on the 12th Gen Intel Framework Laptop 13 but runs ChromeOS. Unlike the standard laptop, the Chromebook has a fixed specification — i5-1240P, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD — while retaining the same upgradability. Framework claimed upgraded speakers and batteries compared to the standard laptop, though reviews described the speakers as "muffled" and rated battery life as poor for a Chromebook. The Chromebook was also criticized for its $999 price point. It uses the open-source coreboot firmware.

Framework Laptop 13 Pro (Intel Core Ultra Series 3, 2026)

Announced April 21, 2026, the Framework Laptop 13 Pro is a ground-up redesign of the Framework Laptop 13. It features Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors on the 18A process node, a 74 Wh battery, upgradeable LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X memory, a fully CNC-machined 6063 aluminum chassis, a purpose-built 2.8K touchscreen display with variable refresh rate, and a haptic touchpad. It is Framework's first Ubuntu Certified system. DIY Edition starts at $1,199; pre-built configurations start at $1,499. First shipments are expected in June 2026.

Framework Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen 7040, 2024)

The Framework Laptop 16 is a larger, performance-oriented laptop announced at the Next Level event in March 2023. It features an expansion bay that can attach PCIe components such as a dedicated GPU, a fully customizable keyboard with interchangeable input modules and optional numpad, and 6 expansion card slots. Initially planned to ship in Q4 2023, it began shipping in February 2024 with AMD Ryzen 7040 series processors. It was named a TIME Best Invention of 2023.

Framework Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen AI 300, 2025)

Announced in August 2025, the second generation Framework Laptop 16 features AMD's Zen 5-based Ryzen AI 300 series processors. It adds an optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 expansion bay GPU module with 8 GB GDDR7, which is backwards compatible with the 2024 model. Shipments began in December 2025 (delayed from the original November target).
