Barrel Jack DC-In Module
The Barrel Jack DC-In Module is a community-designed Framework expansion card that lets you power a Framework laptop (or any 20V USB-PD device) using a Dell or HP barrel jack laptop power supply. The schematic was created by Arya (CRImier), with the board layout by a-little-wifi, who also tweaked the original schematic.
D-Pad
D-Pad is a handheld gaming PC built around the Framework Laptop 13 motherboard, battery, and speakers, housed in a 3D-printed case with custom electronics. Created by community member Darrel Hunt (blt3dp) and announced on the Framework Community in April 2026, the project aims to deliver a "fully customizable, fully upgradeable, and fully repairable handheld gaming PC" using off-the-shelf Framework components.
Framework Missing Keys
Framework Missing Keys is a community project to add the four missing navigation keys — PgUp, PgDn, Home, and End — to the Framework Laptop 16 by building a custom input module using Framework's One Key Module developer program. Created by community member Matthew and documented on Hackaday, the project began in February 2026 after the creator received One Key Modules directly from Framework through the developer program.
FrameworkLTE Expansion Card
The FrameworkLTE is a custom Framework expansion card that provides LTE data access with a physical SIM card, enabling cellular connectivity — including calls and texts — directly from a Framework laptop. Created by community member lonersoft (Lolo280374) and published on GitHub in April 2026, the project houses a stripped ZTE MF79U LTE modem inside a 3D-printed expansion card enclosure.
Free USB-A Dual Expansion Card
The Free USB-A Dual Expansion Card is a community-designed concept with a working prototype that adds a "free" USB-A 2.0 port to the Framework Laptop 16 alongside a full-featured USB-C, without sacrificing an expansion card slot. Created by boarchuz and published on March 21, 2026, it taps into one of the unused USB 2.0 interfaces exposed on the FW16 midplate pogo pins.
Project Pukeko
Project Pukeko is a community project to build a laptop with a full-profile mechanical keyboard based on the Framework Laptop 13 motherboard. Created by community member Keijo from Poland and announced in January 2026, the project taps into the USB lines exposed by the Framework 13 input cover interface to drive a custom PCB handling the keyboard, touchpad, and power button.
Whiteboard Input Module
The Whiteboard Input Module is a simple DIY modification by community member henrytr that turns the Framework Laptop 16's spacer modules into usable dry-erase whiteboard surfaces.
