The Breadboard Card (also called the MCU Dev Card) is a Tool Card from HW Media Lab LLC that carries a Seeed Studio XIAO module in a Framework Expansion Card form factor. Designed to work with the DockFrame modular USB-C hub or standalone via USB-C, it provides a development platform with breadboard-friendly 2.54 mm headers and a downstream USB-C port for prototyping.
budgetcan-fw CAN Bus Card
The budgetcan-fw CAN Bus Card is a community-designed 2x CAN bus expansion card based on the STM32F405 microcontroller and the budgetcan-fw platform. Framework Missing Keys
Framework Missing Keys is a community project to add the four missing navigation keys — PgUp, PgDn, Home, and End — to the Framework Laptop 16 by building a custom input module using Framework's One Key Module developer program. Created by community member Matthew and documented on Hackaday, the project began in February 2026 after the creator received One Key Modules directly from Framework through the developer program.
MXM GPU + Dell E-Port Expansion Bay Adapter
The MXM GPU + Dell E-Port Expansion Bay Adapter is an open-source community hardware project by WifiCable (GitHub: a-little-wifi) that combines an MXM GPU slot with a Dell E-Port dock connector on a single board designed for the Framework Laptop 16's expansion bay. The project was started when the Framework 16 was announced, but the author states it is "very unfinished" and they do not plan to continue development since they did not purchase the laptop.
OSHE Framework Desktop Usage Display
The OSHE Framework Desktop Usage Display is a front display panel for the Framework Desktop, developed by the Open Source Hardware Enterprise (OSHE) team at Michigan Technological University. The display mounts to the front panel of the Framework Desktop and shows real-time computer statistics such as CPU utilization, providing a simple, cheap, and good-looking proof of concept for a status display.

The RP2350 20-pin GPIO Expansion Card is an open-source expansion card integrating a Raspberry Pi RP2350A microcontroller into a Framework expansion card, exposing 20 GPIO pins accessible from the laptop. Designed by Tan Siret Akıncı (tansiret) and jrymk, it was presented at Maker Faire Rome 2025 and certified by OSHWA (UID IT000024). sigroot FW LED Matrix Firmware
sigroot FW LED Matrix Firmware is an alternate firmware for the Framework Laptop 16 LED Matrix Input Module, written in Arduino/C++ by sigroot. It was created to address two limitations of the official FrameworkComputer/inputmodule-rs firmware: the inability to produce all 256 brightness levels and difficulty developing with the provided interface software.

sparkle-fw16 is an alternate firmware for the Framework Laptop 16 LED Matrix Input Module, written in C using the RP2040 Pico SDK. Developed by vddCore, it was created as a leaner alternative to the official FrameworkComputer/inputmodule-rs firmware, which the author found had "too many useless features" and was written in Rust, a language they disliked.
