Framework Control
Framework Control is a lightweight control surface for Framework laptops, exposing a minimal local HTTP API and a modern web UI to monitor telemetry and tweak core platform settings. Developed by Kemal Ozturk (GitHub: ozturkkl), it provides fan control (auto/manual/curve), power management, charging controls, and LED Matrix support for Framework Laptop 13 and 16 models.
Framework Deck
Framework Deck is an open-source, all-in-one desktop companion application for Framework laptops, developed by community member ToySnail (GitHub: enkode). It evolved from the earlier Input Architect project — a keyboard and macropad configurator — into a unified tool that combines keyboard customization with real-time hardware telemetry, fan control, power management, battery health monitoring, and LED matrix editing.
Framework Embedded Controller GUI
Framework Embedded Controller GUI (fw-ec-gui) is a graphical interface for controlling the Framework Laptop 13's Embedded Controller (EC), developed by community member Yisroel Newmark (GitHub: boredom101). Written in Python with PySimpleGUI and tkinter, it provides a point-and-click interface for fan speed control, LED color selection, and battery charge limiting by wrapping DHowett's fw-ectool.
Framework Hub
This project appears to be inactive. The last GitHub push was January 18, 2025, the last Patreon update was late January 2025, and the GitHub build has been broken since approximately March 2025. The creator has not responded to community inquiries since early 2025.
Framework Matrix Manager (FWMM)
A widget-based LED Matrix program for the Framework 16 by Boyney (DedFishy), featuring a web dashboard GUI and system-tray background operation.
Framework System TUI
Framework System TUI (framework-tool-tui) is a terminal-based dashboard for monitoring and controlling Framework laptop hardware, developed by community member Mykhailo Nedokushev (GitHub: grouzen). Built in Rust with the ratatui TUI framework, it provides a snappy interactive interface for battery management, privacy toggles, brightness controls, USB PD port monitoring, and more — all from the terminal.
FW16 Pong Wars
FW16 Pong Wars is a Rust-based game for the Framework Laptop 16 LED Matrix Input Modules, inspired by the original Pong Wars by Koen van Gilst. Developed by community member boobcactus, it runs a competitive ball-bouncing game directly on the 9x34 LED matrix panels, supporting both single-module (9x34) and dual-module (18x34) display modes.
Input Architect
This project has been merged into Framework Deck. All features are now part of Framework Deck's Keyboard module. The standalone repository is archived for historical reference.
YAFI — Yet Another Framework Interface
YAFI (Yet Another Framework Interface) is a cross-platform GUI application for interacting with the Framework Laptop Embedded Controller (EC). Created by Stephen Horvath (GitHub: Steve-Tech) and announced on the Framework Community forum on September 8, 2025, it provides fan control, LED brightness management, battery charge limiting, hardware monitoring, and system information — all without requiring beta BIOS versions, unsigned drivers, or command-line tools.
